Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
We collect as little as possible, we never store your card details, and the listings you publish are public by design. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics alongside Google Analytics. This policy explains the rest, including every third party involved.
1. Summary
- We only collect what we need to run your account and publish your listings.
- Traffic is measured with cookieless first-party analytics (Cloudflare and Ahrefs) plus Google Analytics, which does set cookies. We use no advertising trackers.
- Payment card data is handled by our payment provider and never touches our servers.
- Content you publish (products, profiles, comments) is intentionally public.
2. Who we are
BaruzoTech Private Limited operates MakerRadar and is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or data request, email support@makerradar.io. We aim to respond within 30 days.
3. Data we collect
- Account: your email, and — if you sign in with GitHub or Google — your name, avatar and provider account id.
- Maker profile: display name, bio, and any links you add.
- Submissions: product name, description, logo, website URL and categories.
- Engagement: upvotes, comments and similar activity.
- Billing metadata: order id, SKU and status — never your card number.
- Technical: IP address, user-agent and timestamps, kept briefly in edge logs for security and debugging.
- Analytics: aggregate, non-identifying traffic stats (see above).
4. How we use your data
- operate your account and sign you in;
- publish your listings and maker profile;
- rank, moderate and protect against fraud and abuse (including Turnstile checks);
- send transactional email — magic links, submission, launch and badge notifications;
- process payments for paid features;
- send a weekly digest, if you've opted in;
- measure aggregate performance and comply with our legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (GDPR / UK-GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK-GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (running your account); our legitimate interests (security, and cookieless aggregate analytics); your consent (Google Analytics cookies for visitors in the EU/UK, and the newsletter); and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
7. International transfers
Your data is processed on Cloudflare's global network, which may involve transfers across jurisdictions. Where required, these rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
8. Retention
- Account data is kept while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, associated data is removed promptly; backups cycle out within about 30 days.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires (up to 7 years).
- Expired login sessions and sign-in tokens are purged automatically every day, and IP addresses in our security logs are cleared after 180 days.
- Edge/server logs are short-lived.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK, California or India), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority.
Two of these are self-serve from your Account & privacy page: download a machine-readable copy of your data, and permanently delete your account. Deleting removes your personal data and unlinks your contributions so they can no longer be traced to you (we keep anonymised financial records only where tax law requires). For any other request, email support@makerradar.io.
11. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and least-privilege access controls. If you believe you've found a vulnerability, please report it to support@makerradar.io.
12. Children
MakerRadar is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and notify registered users where practical.
14. Contact
