MakerRadar CLI
The official command-line tool for MakerRadar: search the directory, follow the weekly launch board, draft a listing for your product and manage your listings from the terminal — by hand, in a script or from an AI agent. Open source, with no dependencies.
Install
It needs Node.js 20 or newer. Run it straight away with npx, or install it once:
npx makerradar search "invoicing"
npm install -g makerradar
makerradar --helpThe source is on GitHub at https://github.com/makerradar-io/makerradar-cli and the package on npm as makerradar.

Signing in
Searching, reading and drafting need no account. For your own listings, makerradar login prints a link and a short code: open it, sign in to MakerRadar, check the code and approve. The CLI then holds an agent token for your account — scoped, revocable, never your password or session. It can't vote, comment or review, and it never pays: a checkout hands you the payment page.
The token is saved in your user config directory, readable only by you, and you can revoke it any time in Dashboard › AI agents. In CI, pass one with the MAKERRADAR_TOKEN environment variable instead.
For scripts and AI agents
--jsonprints exactly what the API answered, so its output is the API's own schema.- Exit codes are stable:
0done,1the API refused or couldn't be reached,2a usage mistake (which never calls the API). With--json, an error is JSON on stderr, with the API's error code and a hint. - Text from listings is written by their makers: the CLI strips terminal control characters before printing it, so a listing can't take over your terminal.
makerradar api <METHOD> <path>reaches every endpoint of the MakerRadar API, andmakerradar mcpsets up the MakerRadar MCP server in your AI assistant.
Source, issues and releases
The CLI is MIT-licensed and calls only the public, versioned API — every endpoint it uses is checked against the published OpenAPI document daily. Report a bug or ask for a command on GitHub issues; what changed in each release is in its changelog.
