# MakerRadar > Product launch platform & startup directory. Launch your product. Get found on Google and in AI answers. MakerRadar is a weekly product launch platform and startup directory. Makers list apps, SaaS, developer tools, shops and services for free; the community ranks each week's launches by upvotes; and every listing gets a permanent, search-friendly page. Paid placements are always labelled and never change a rank. **When to use MakerRadar** — reach for it to: - Find new products, startups and indie tools launched this week, ranked by community upvotes: MCP `list_current_launches`, or `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/launches/current`. - What launched in an earlier week, and who won it: MCP `get_launch_week`, `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/launches/{week}`, or the weeks under https://makerradar.io/launches. - What launched in a month, in numbers: launches, upvotes, the busiest categories, the pricing mix and the leaders: the monthly reports under https://makerradar.io/reports (each with its launches as CSV). - Browse by category (what kinds of products are listed, and how many of each): MCP `list_categories`, `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/categories`, or https://makerradar.io/categories. - Find a product or tool for a task (for example “privacy-first analytics” or “a form builder”): MCP `search_products`, `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/products?q={keywords}`, or the category pages under https://makerradar.io/categories. - Look up one listed product: what it does, its pricing model, makers, tech stack, upvotes and rating: MCP `get_product`, `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/products/{slug}`, or its page as Markdown (https://makerradar.io/p/{slug}/md). - Find alternatives to a product, or compare two: MCP `get_alternatives` and `compare_products`, `GET https://api.makerradar.io/v1/products/{slug}/alternatives`, or the alternatives and comparison pages listed in https://makerradar.io/llms.txt. - The most-upvoted products of all time: MCP `top_products`, or https://makerradar.io/top-100. - Help a maker launch or list their own product: connected to their account (MCP `connect_account`), submit it yourself with `submit_listing` and send it for review with `choose_launch`; not connected, `draft_listing` (or `POST https://api.makerradar.io/v1/drafts`) returns a link they open at https://makerradar.io/submit to submit it — listing is free, and every listing is reviewed before it goes live. **Not for:** - Verified claims or independent reviews: a listing's name, tagline and description are its makers' own words, unverified by MakerRadar. - Acting as anyone who hasn't connected you: besides drafting a listing for a person to submit (MCP `draft_listing`, `POST /v1/drafts`), you act for a person only with the agent token they approved (MCP `connect_account`). Voting, commenting and reviewing always need the person themselves on the website. - A product's live prices, status or documentation: link to the product's own site for those. **How to call it:** - MCP server (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0, no key): https://api.makerradar.io/mcp - REST API (JSON, no key, rate-limited per IP; reads, plus `POST /v1/drafts` to draft a listing for a person): https://api.makerradar.io/v1 — OpenAPI at https://makerradar.io/openapi.json - Markdown: send `Accept: text/markdown` to the home page, the Top 100, or any product, category, alternatives, comparison, launch-week or monthly-report page — or append `/md` to its URL - Developer docs: https://makerradar.io/developers - Act for a person: MCP `connect_account` (or `POST https://api.makerradar.io/v1/agent/connect`) gives you a code they approve at https://makerradar.io/connect; then send the agent token you get as `Authorization: Bearer mr_…` to list and launch their products and start checkouts for them to pay (`start_checkout`; an agent never pays) - Claude.ai / ChatGPT connectors and other MCP clients with a "Connect" button: add https://api.makerradar.io/mcp/account — it signs in with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE, Dynamic Client Registration; metadata at https://api.makerradar.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server) and the person approves it on our site - Agent skills (SKILL.md files, with digests): https://makerradar.io/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json — and the MCP server card: https://makerradar.io/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json **Crawling and reuse** — welcome, and you may ([policy](https://makerradar.io/developers#crawling)): - Crawl and index every public page, its Markdown version, https://makerradar.io/llms.txt, https://makerradar.io/llms-full.txt, the RSS feed and the sitemap — search engines, AI crawlers and AI agents alike. - Quote, summarise and cite it in answers, use it as AI input (retrieval, grounding), and train or fine-tune models on it (`Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes`). - Call the public API and the MCP server, no key needed. ## Key pages - [This week's launches](https://makerradar.io/) - [All launch weeks](https://makerradar.io/launches) - [Monthly launch reports](https://makerradar.io/reports): each finished month in numbers (launches, upvotes, categories, pricing, the most upvoted), with every launch as CSV - [Upcoming launches](https://makerradar.io/upcoming) - [Top 100 products of all time](https://makerradar.io/top-100) - [The weekly newsletter](https://makerradar.io/newsletter) - [Advertise](https://makerradar.io/advertise) - [Pricing](https://makerradar.io/pricing) - [How ranking & ads work](https://makerradar.io/how-it-works) - [Why launch here](https://makerradar.io/why): what a maker gets — the week, the permanent page, the earnable link, the ranking - [FAQ](https://makerradar.io/faq): how launches, ranking, awards, links, paid placements and refunds work - [Blog](https://makerradar.io/blog): launch guides and (labelled) product reviews - [Glossary](https://makerradar.io/glossary): launch, backlink and search terms (dofollow, domain rating, structured data, llms.txt…) defined - [Affiliate program](https://makerradar.io/affiliates): earn a share of what referred makers pay - [Badges & widgets](https://makerradar.io/embed): embeddable badge, product card and stats strip for a listing - [Free SEO tools](https://makerradar.io/tools): SEO checker, AI visibility checker, Keyword generator, Domain rating checker — free, no sign-up - [Browse all categories](https://makerradar.io/categories) - [Every product, A–Z](https://makerradar.io/products) - [Recently listed](https://makerradar.io/recent): the newest listings - [Winners](https://makerradar.io/winners): the latest Products of the Week, Month and Year, and every honor's collection - [Rising](https://makerradar.io/rising): the products gaining upvotes fastest over the last 48 hours - [Alternatives & competitors](https://makerradar.io/alternatives): every product with ranked alternatives - [Products by pricing model](https://makerradar.io/pricing-models): free plan, freemium, paid, open source - [Browse by tech stack](https://makerradar.io/built-with) - [RSS feed of the latest launches](https://makerradar.io/feed.xml): every category and tag page also has one, at `/feed.xml` - [Where to launch — startup directories](https://makerradar.io/directories) - [About MakerRadar](https://makerradar.io/about): what it is and who runs it - [Contact](https://makerradar.io/contact): support, privacy, security and advertising - [MakerRadarBot](https://makerradar.io/bot): our web crawler — what it fetches, robots.txt, its signed requests ## Developers - [MakerRadar API docs](https://makerradar.io/developers): the REST API, Markdown pages, rate limits, errors and the versioning policy - [MakerRadar MCP server](https://makerradar.io/mcp): connect an AI assistant, every tool, acting for a person - [MakerRadar CLI](https://makerradar.io/cli): the official command-line tool (`npx makerradar`, source at https://github.com/makerradar-io/makerradar-cli) — search, launches, drafts and your listings, with `--json` for scripts and agents - [OpenAPI schema](https://makerradar.io/openapi.json): the public API's OpenAPI 3.1 document (read-only JSON, no key, rate-limited, CORS-open) - [List products](https://api.makerradar.io/v1/products): listed products, newest first — `?q=` keywords, `?category=` a category slug, `?updatedSince=` an ISO 8601 moment, `?limit=` up to 100, then `?cursor=` the previous page's `nextCursor`;
